broccoli,

i grew some of those small round " parisian " carrots this year and was highly pleased with them.

got plans to grow at least 3 times as many next season. ( will prolly want more ) :wink:

hello peanutsmommy,

bhut jolokia are very slow to grow and produce. i will say though i did get a heavy harvest once they got in gear. after frost i just carried them in and out everyday until harvest.

you should get a great harvest, just be patient ! :)

i'm sure gonna wait. here recently i noticed a bit of grass growing on the pile. the plastic sounds like a winner for next spring. great info. on the composting angle as i was considering tossing a bit on the pile now and then.

when i dug up my garden this spring i piled up the sod to hopefully decompose and return it to the garden. is this a good idea and should i do this now before it freezes for the winter ?

harvesting pumpkins

jump, i'm no expert and what i've read there is no sure fire way,but.......... when the tendrils nearest the fruit is dead it is ripe and when u have a white/yellow spot on the underside it is ripe. wingin' it myself and have been pleased so far on 4 melons. 3 were saaa..weet,1 just a bit overripe b...

or, will be happy to provide an update at harvest. most of the super hots i have in small containers, just looking for small harvests of each. these peppers aren't the have 1 or 2 with each meal variety. :D i can easily bring these inside to mature. i do have some in the ground ,but they are growing...

i would think amending to be the ticket.

i'm reusing promix from last year and did no amending other than i stored it in trash cans and fluffed it up a bit.
